With nearly 20 years in the real estate finance sector, across both the legal and business sides, Andrew brings a business-first perspective to legal problem-solving and is highly attuned to the practical needs of his clients leveraging his considerable in-house experience. He guides businesses in evaluating risk and reward, driving operational efficiency, proactively mitigating potential legal and commercial risks, and implementing creative, tailored strategies aligned with overarching business objectives.

Andrew was previously VP, Assistant General Counsel at Lendlease, where he negotiated and executed transactions across Lendlease’s U.S. Investment Management and Development platforms, encompassing commercial, residential, and life science assets. He directed the legal aspects of the launch of Lendlease’s U.S. credit and debt ventures, select development projects across the United States, and related joint ventures.

Andrew has negotiated, executed, and managed domestic and cross-border joint ventures (including with various branches of the U.S. armed forces); drafted and negotiated acquisition, financing, commercial leasing (retail, restaurant, office, and industrial), construction, equipment purchase, contractor, and service agreements; pursued and responded to RFPs; and handled related corporate matters. He also regularly advises on trademark, risk management, employment, and other business matters.

Andrew also has experience working with companies in the firearms, defense, and manufacturing sectors. He currently serves as an advisor to a Texas-based firearms manufacturer, where he provides strategic guidance on operational, marketing, financing, scaling, product launches, and corporate matters.

Prior to joining Lendlease in 2021, Andrew was VP, Associate General Counsel at Urban Edge Properties (fmr. Vornado), where for more than five years he handled legal matters across a portfolio of more than 80 shopping centers, office, industrial and residential assets across the US and Puerto Rico. He also served as counsel at Greystone & Co., primarily representing the NY Metropolitan Transportation Authority in connection with its vast real estate portfolio.

Before practicing law, Andrew worked at Jones Lang LaSalle as a financial analyst on a technology client’s global transaction team, supporting transactions in the US, and abroad, including Italy, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, and India. He also served as a real estate development analyst for Town Sports International, an analyst with CBRE’s National Retail Investment Group – Southeast, and a residential salesperson with Citi Habitats in NYC.

Andrew is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and holds a J.D. from New York Law School, and a B.A. from Emory University. In addition, he has served as a volunteer firefighter in New York for more than 20 years.
